Subject: News Release — for immediate release PIC attached
For extrusion lines used for a wide variety of products, Roots-Tech Preheaters announces a new control designed to improve productivity and
wire-line management. This enhancement means that a wire-line operator has only to set the desired preheat once for all tap ranges. Previous units
allowed predictive temperature indication on only one tap range. This is a substantial benefit to wire & cable makers who need to produce a wide
range of products at a wide range of speeds on a single extrusion line.
This new option works to integrate a predictive temperature readout with a power tap selector. This enhancement is available on all Roots-Tech
Series 700 fine wire and Series 800 building wire type induction preheater units.
Induction wire preheaters are used for product quality control in the production of insulated wires and coax cables of all sizes. The preheater
precisely heats the product just before the cross-head in order to satisfy physical and electrical specifications.
Roots-Tech is a strategic joint venture of QC Solutions, Inc. and Lloyd and Bouvier, Inc. Roots-Tech products are in use throughout North
America. QC Solutions engineers and builds the products and Lloyd and Bouvier provide marketing services and support from its 300,000 square foot facility in New England.
